Searching for January

I'm pretty sure January went missing shortly after the New Year. Here it is February and while I finally feel I am starting to take control of the house I feel there was a time lapse along the way. This stay at home thing is rough on computer work! Too many distractions!

Thanks to Pinterest I have in the past week developed a simple routine that has taken the stress off the cleanliness portion of my house. The clutter problem has not been alleviated though I have made great strides in that as well through online consignment boards and organizing totes/bags/etc. So now I have three piles of Problem areas in the open versus the entire house being a problem.

The trick to the cleanliness? Living by this simple guideline:

Following this set up has saved me time, stress and my life frankly. I can't believe the simplicity of it and yet why did I never figure it out before. From here I am leaving myself open to incorporate more small step routines because I now have more free time. I do not feel like I have to do all things every day  because they each have thier time and place and I am LOVING IT. My bathrooms have never been this clean. Seriously. Moral of the story, Pinterest can Payoff.

Happy New Year

So the rampant sickness, difficult pregnancy, and holiday madness consumed me at the end of 2012. I have been unable to complete any kind of household project. I was unable to do holiday baking due to the oven going out right before Christmas. Thankfully, oven is fixed and I think we are on schedule to finishing the master bath makeover this week.

My entire resolution this year is to organize our life and household. With baby number 2 on the way, this is a key feature to managing the chaos I feel I am currently inhabiting. I need control. I need a schedule and serenity in my home since I have none with work.

Pinterest is my new best friend and I have found some amazing organization tips, tricks, blogs, etc that I am going to follow through with.

Let the fun begin.
